What - exactly - does blood DO?
Blood is used to transport nutrients and oxygen to every part of your body. It also helps fight infections and its components help ensure beneficial clotting that heals wounds. Blood literally supplies the very materials that maintain life. Your blood sustains life within your body - and your blood does the same heroic work in other bodies, too.
